What Does This Screen For?
This panel screens for four of the most commonly transmitted infections worldwide: HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. These infections can often be completely asymptomatic — meaning you could carry one without knowing it. HIV is detected using a 4th generation test that identifies both the p24 antigen and antibodies, offering highly accurate results even in the early stages of infection. Syphilis is screened through a VDRL/RPR antibody test, and both Hepatitis B and C are tested through surface antigen and antibody detection respectively.
